4 of 8 · The curve

One buy per round.

Each round's buy steps the price up and each sell steps it down. The ticker round the stage reads them as they happen.

Past prices, read from the curve. Not a forecast.

8 of 8 · Questions

House questions.

Can the LADLE price go down?

The price can go down. Every sell back moves the curve down by the same law that moves it up on each round's buy.

Can I get back less than I put in?

A scoop can be smaller than your stake. Everyone pays the same price, and the seed sets each scoop; across a round the scoops add up exactly to the round's buy.

What happens when people sell?

Selling lowers the price. Each sell is a trade on the same curve, at its price at that moment, with 0 fee.

Can anyone set the draw?

The draw is random and verifiable; nobody can set it. The seed comes from ORAO VRF and any round can be recomputed in your browser.

What is a round?

A fixed number of slots, about twenty seconds, during which anyone can pay in. At the last slot it is sealed. Rounds open on a fixed grid, one after the other.

Where does the randomness come from?

From ORAO VRF, an oracle on Solana. One seed per round, requested at seal, with a public proof. Every roll is derived from that seed, the owner and the entry index. Nobody picks a roll, including us.

What if the oracle never answers?

After a fixed number of slots without a seed, anyone can trigger a refund. Every entry gets its stake back in full, and no fee is taken.

Can I cancel an entry?

No. Once an entry is in, it stays in the round until the draw. After the draw you can sell your tokens back at the curve price at any moment, with zero fee.

What are the fees?

A platform fee of 100 basis points on the round total, before the curve buy, fixed in the program. Zero on sell back, claim and refund. A host may add at most 300 basis points, set once.

Who can change the law?

Nobody, once the update authority is revoked after the audit. Until then the program is not deployed; the status on this site says so on every page.

The pot is conserved. The house neither wins nor loses on the draw.
